Michael Bracewell replaces injured Will Jacks for RCB in IPL 2023

Michael Bracewell replaces Will Jacks: Royal Challengers Bangalore has announced the replacement of Will Jacques. RCB has included New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell in his place. Will Jacques was injured during the series against Bangladesh. He has a thigh injury and will take time to get fit. Now he will rehab under Surrey’s supervision. Will Jacques was part of the RCB team. In view of his absence, the franchise decided to include New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell as a replacement for Jacques.

Michael Bracewell remained unsold in the IPL auction held on 23 December 2022. No franchisee thought fit to bet on him. Bracewell had kept his base price of one crore rupees. He never played in IPL. But now the way for him to play in IPL has been cleared. He will replace Will Jacques in RCB. Will Jacques, who was included in his team by RCB after spending a huge amount of Rs 3.20 crores. There was a lot of battle between Rajasthan Royals and RCB to include Jacques in the team. Rajasthan had bid up to Rs 3 crore. But later RCB bought him for Rs 3.20 crore.

When Bracewell chewed India’s nose

ODI was played between India and New Zealand on 18 January 2023 in Hyderabad. Bracewell played a blistering inning of 140 off 78 balls in this match. India had given New Zealand a target of 350 runs to win the match. The New Zealand team was all out after scoring 337 runs in 49.2 overs. Had Bracewell not been dismissed in the last over, New Zealand’s victory was assured. As long as Bracebel was at the crease in this match, India was away from victory. Perhaps keeping in mind this innings of his, RCB has included him in his team as a replacement.
