World Sleep Day 2023 Indian Company Wakefit Announce Holiday For All Employees

World Sleep Day 2023: If you get a holiday before the weekend or any such holiday, which you had not even expected, then it will be no less than a pleasure. A company has done something similar. On the day of World Sleep Day 2023, it has been announced to give leave to all the employees. This holiday has been given at a time when the two-day weekend is about to come. That is, these employees will get three days leave.

This Bangalore-based company has given the ‘gift of sleep’ to all its employees and the company has offered special leave. In the mail given to the employees, the company said that the company wants to celebrate it on the day of sleep day falling on Friday, due to which all the employees are being given leave.

Wakefit, a Bengaluru-headquartered company, has announced a holiday on World Sleep Day 2023. However, this is not the first time that the company has made such an offer. Earlier, the company’s co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingowda had said that employees can take 30 minutes of sleep during their work.

The company had said in the mail that the employees can take a nap of half an hour after 2 pm. Wakefit had also shared its screenshot on social media, in which it has been officially given the right to sleep for half an hour.

NASA and Harvard’s research logic

Arguing behind taking an afternoon nap, the company said that it has been said in NASA and Harvard studies that good work performance is seen after an afternoon nap. Afternoon sleep helps in memory, concentration, creativity and productivity.

Employees will be blocked at 2.30

The company said in its email that employee calendars will be blocked between 2 pm and 2.30 pm so that they cannot do any work and they can complete their afternoon nap for 30 minutes.
