These include basic salary, allowances, commission etc. Talking about TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan, he got a total of Rs 25.75 crore during the financial year 2021-22. This includes salary of Rs 1.5 crore, allowances and other benefits of Rs 2.25 crore and commission of Rs 22 crore. During the financial year 2021-22, Gopinathan got 26.6 per cent more payment than a year ago.

TCS has told in its annual report that it Pays salary, allowances and other benefits and commission etc. to its Managing Director and Executive Directors. In this, allowances and other benefits are fixed, while commission is variable. Variable pay is also known as performance pay. It depends on the financial performance of the company. Five years extension

Rajesh Gopinathan holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Trichy. He has also done PG-Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He is credited with getting TCS included in Fortune’s list of Preferred Partners 500 companies. The company this month appointed Gopinathan as managing partner and chief executive officer for five more years. His tenure has been extended from 21 February 2022 to 20 February 2027.

TCS is India’s second largest listed company and the largest IT and software company Is. TCS has been named by American magazine Forbes in the prestigious list of America’s Best Large Employers this week. According to BSE, the market capitalization of TCS is currently around Rs 12.19 lakh crore. Currently, the total employee strength of TCS is around 5.30 lakh.
