Shoaib Akhtar on Babar Azam: Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has once again made a big statement criticizing the current Pakistan team captain Babar Azam. Akhtar has told Azam Khan better than Babar Azam in gestures. This is not the first time that Akhtar has targeted Babar. Akhtar had criticized Babar for his knowledge of English language some time back.
Shoaib Akhtar, after watching the batting of Azam Khan in the current season of Pakistan Super League (PSL), told him that he was worthy of captaincy. Shoaib had said that the manner in which Azam responded after the match with finesse and his performance showed all the qualities of captaincy in him.
Earlier, while talking to Pakistani channel Suno News, Shoaib Akhtar said about Babar Azam that he should correct his English knowledge. The way Babar Azam speaks, he doesn’t seem fit for captaincy. Just winning the ICC Player of the Year title will not make you a brand player.
you have to understand the situation
Shoaib Akhtar had said in a statement some time ago that Virat Kohli is a brand player and many such superstar players are present in Indian cricket at the moment. On the other hand, Babar Azam has not been able to establish himself as a brand because of his English knowledge.
Akhtar further said in his statement that when legendary players like Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq and Wasim Akram used to play, he used to say that he used to control the crowd present in the stadium. Azam Khan also showed the same by his performance that day. If you want to become a star player, then you have to do the same, just winning big titles will not make you a star player.
