Hiring Outlook: Opinion of 60 percent employers, this government scheme will be helpful in increasing employment

In order to promote manufacturing in the country and achieve the goal of self-reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat), the government is emphasizing on the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI Schemes). For this, PLI schemes have been started for many sectors including electronics. While these schemes are going to help in reducing the dependence on imports, employers feel that these schemes are also going to help in job creation. Helpful

Staffing company TeamLease prepared a report on the impact of PLI on job creation. Employers from various sectors were surveyed across the country to prepare the report. In the survey, more than 60 percent of the employers in the Indian industry said that they plan to make more recruitments over the next few years due to the PLI schemes of the government.

According to the report, the sectors in which PLI is going to have a positive impact on employment generation are pharmaceutical, white goods and textile. 68 percent of the employers in the pharmaceutical sector feel that they will do more recruitment in the coming years. Similarly, 67 per cent employers in the white goods sector and 62 per cent employers in the textile sector feel the same. The PLI scheme is expected to increase employment generation in the MSME sector as well.

Let us tell you that the government has given special attention to the creation of employment in PLI schemes. . There is a provision in these schemes that as the companies give new jobs, they will get the benefit of more incentives. The report has been prepared on the basis of the responses of the employers regarding this aspect of the scheme. In this survey, TeamLease polled 344 employers across 14 cities and 08 industries.

City-wise trends

According to the survey, with a 70-70 per cent share in small and Medium sized organizations will lead the hiring. On the other hand, in big organizations, its ratio can be 22 percent. Looking at the category of small and medium-sized organizations, 86 per cent employers in Indore, 73 per cent in Chennai and 65 per cent each in Gurugram and Pune are positive about recruitment.
