Larry David Wears Bandage on His Face During Dinner Date with Wife

Larry David had more than just his signature glasses on display while on a recent outing with his wife.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm creator, 76, sported a bandage on the right side of his face as he was photographed on a dinner date with his wife, Ashley Underwood, at Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles on Friday, April 26.

In the snaps captured of David, the bandage could be seen taped down below his right eye, covering his cheek.

He was photographed walking arm in arm with Underwood while wearing a white shirt, green jacket and gray pants with matching gray walking shoes. He also wore a gray hat and gold-rimmed glasses. Meanwhile, his wife wore a dark green satin blouse and black pants.   

Representatives for David did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment about the photos.

This comes a week after David appeared at PaleyFest LA alongside the Curb Your Enthusiasm cast Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman and J.B. Smoove to discuss the show after its series finale on April 7.

The comedian was bandage-free as he was photographed on the event carpet on April 18, alongside his cast members, in a black button-up shirt with a matching suit jacket over it and beige pants. 

He shared during the panel that the show’s finale had callbacks to Seinfeld’s last episode — which had garnered negative reviews that affected him and led him to find a way to incorporate that into Curb Your Enthusiasm. 

“At the time, I think it did bother me,” David confessed. 

“Enough to pocket revenge for 24 years?” moderator Judd Apatow, 56, asked, to which he responded, “26 years.”

However, the former Saturday Night Live writer also expressed his sadness at the project — which earned 51 Emmy nominations and six Golden Globe nods during its 24-year run — coming to a close.

He shared that he will take the fond memories with him in the future. 

“It was the most fun I could ever have possibly had doing anything,” David said. “To do that, to write it and then film it. I can’t imagine how I could ever have had more fun in my life.”
