Yuzvendra Chahal to play county cricket for Kent after being dropped from Team India ODI World Cup 2023 squad

Chahal can play for the county team Kent. This could be Chahal’s debut in county cricket. On Tuesday (September 5) the Indian team for the World Cup was announced in the presence of Chief Selector and Captain Rohit Sharma.

According to a report in ‘Times of India’, Chahal has decided to play county cricket after not being selected in the World Cup. He has also got NOC i.e. No Objection Certificate from BCCI. A source told, “Kent County Club Cricket will make an official announcement about this soon. Chahal will play three-four-day matches for him. BCCI has given him NOC. Whenever the Indian team needs him, he will immediately join the Indian squad.

Chahal is being ignored

Please tell that Chahal is now being given very few chances in the team. Chahal was not made a part of the squad even for the Asia Cup being played these days. Then he was also kept away from the World Cup squad. In 2023, Chahal has played only 2 ODIs so far, in which he has taken three wickets. He is mainly being kept away from the ODI team.

Chahal plays white ball cricket for India. He has played 72 ODIs and 80 T20 Internationals so far. In ODIs, he has taken 121 wickets at an average of 27.13. Apart from this, Chahal has taken 96 wickets in T20 International at an average of 25.09. He made his international debut in June 2016.
