Why Vinesh Phogat refused to talk to PM Modi: Former Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat had missed winning a medal in Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh was disqualified even before the gold medal match due to being 100 grams overweight. Vinesh was in the news after being disqualified. During this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call had gone to Vinesh, but the Indian wrestler refused to talk to PM Modi on the call. So let us know why Vinesh had refused to talk to PM Modi.
Vinesh revealed this in an interview given to ‘Lallantop’ and said that she did not talk to PM Modi on call because the video was shared on social media. Actually, PM Modi talks to medal winning athletes on phone and the video of that conversation is shared on social media, but Vinesh was not in favor of sharing the video.
When Vinesh was asked in the interview that after missing the medal, you got a call from PM Modi? Responding to this, Vinesh said, “A call had come. I refused. I had not received a direct call, but the Indian officials who were there said that they wanted to talk.”
Vinesh further said, “They put conditions in front of me. None of your men will be with me. Our team will be of two people, one will shoot the video and one will get the talk done and that video will go on social media. I asked whether it will go on social media.” So where would ‘yes’ go, then I said ‘sorry.’ I will not make fun of my emotions and my hard work on such social media.”
Vinesh then further said, “If he really sympathizes with any player, then he can talk without recording. Perhaps he knows that whenever he talks to Vinesh, Vinesh will definitely ask for the accounts of two years. That’s why He said that there will be no call from you, he can record it at his level, but I will put the original, so he refused that it will not be possible.
