Vi Games: The future of eSports gaming in India looks bright, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) has taken an important step to make it even brighter. Vi has recently announced its first grassroots eSports tournament 'Vi Game to Fame'. This tournament is not only for professional gamers but also for all those gamers who want to make their mark in eSports.
Tournament Objective
The aim of 'Vi Game to Fame' is to democratize eSports gaming, so that everyone can participate in it. India is one of the largest gaming markets in the world today, accounting for about 20% of total mobile game downloads. Through this tournament, Vi is providing a platform to all those gamers who want to showcase their gaming skills at the national and international level.
Tournament Format
The first version of this tournament is starting from today i.e. 1st October 2024 and Call of Duty: Mobile will be played in it. The grand finale of this tournament will be organized at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, which is Asia's largest tech fest. Registration to participate in the tournament will be from October 1 to October 5, 2024. Gamers can do this through Vi's website (myvi.in) and Vi App.
organizing competition
The competition will be conducted in a hybrid model, in which participants will showcase their skills in an online knockout format. The top 6 teams from the online qualifiers will advance to the final round, where they will be divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin format. The top two teams will reach the semi-finals and will compete in the best of 5 format. The winning team will get a chance to play a show match with the current National CODM Champions, powered by Team Vitality.
