Who can apply

This scholarship is for class 8 students. Only those candidates who have got 55% or more marks in class 7 can apply. SC, ST students will get 5% relaxation in marks.

Apart from this, it is necessary that the candidate is studying in a Government or Government Aided Local School or Local Body Council School. Along with this, it is necessary that the annual family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs 3.5 lakh.

Those candidates who are studying in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, or other government residential or private schools cannot apply.

How much amount will you get?

Under this scholarship, an amount of Rs 12 thousand is given every year to selected students from class 9 to 12. This amount is available for four years i.e. from class 9 to 12. However, during this period the candidates have to continue scoring good marks. There is no need to pay any kind of fee to apply.
