Pandya praises Gill saying that ‘this is one of the best performances he has seen in his entire career’. At the same time, Kohli praised Gill and said that ‘I would call it brilliant and would like to wish him all the best for his career ahead’.

Youngest double century
Shubman Gill has made a big record by scoring a double century in the first ODI against New Zealand. He has become the youngest batsman to score a double century. Shubman has done this feat in 23 years and 132 days. Before him, this record was in the name of Ishaan Kishan, he had scored a double century in ODIs against Bangladesh at the age of 24 years and 145 days. Kishan scored this century in the series played against Bangladesh.
