Sunil Gavaskar on Ravindra Jadeja’s no ball in Indore Test IND Vs AUS

Indore Test: On the first day of the Test match being played between India and Australia in Indore, Ravindra Jadeja made three big mistakes back to back. The first was that Marnus Labushen was dismissed on one of his balls but this ball was declared a no-ball and the other two mistakes were that he spoiled two reviews. All these three mistakes were made by Jadeja within 5 overs of the Australian innings. These mistakes were very heavy on Team India and Australia’s hold in the match became stronger. Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar erupted after the first day’s play on these mistakes of Jadeja.

Talking on Star Sports after the first day’s play of the match, Sunil Gavaskar said, ‘I would like to talk about the no-ball here. You cannot make this mistake again and again, especially when you are a professional cricketer and a spinner. You have to bowl only by staying inside the crease. Please tell that Jadeja has thrown 8 no-balls in this series so far.

Gavaskar said, ‘When you come for the interview in the evening, you say that you like to do what is in your control. Not throwing no balls is also in your control, then why did this happen? Who will take the responsibility for this? This responsibility will have to be taken either by the bowler or by the bowling coach. This has happened many times in the three matches of this series.

In this way Jadeja’s mistakes were overshadowed
Jadeja dismissed Labushen on a no-ball when he could not even open his account. If it was not a no-ball, there would not have been a 96-run partnership between Labushen and Khawaja and the Indian team could have put pressure on the Kangaroo team by taking two wickets of Australia within 15 runs. After this, if Jadeja had not spoiled two reviews, then the Indian captain would have definitely taken a review for not giving LBW to Labushen off Ashwin in the 11th over and then the Indian team would have definitely got a wicket. However, after the first day’s play, the Australian team has taken a lead of 47 runs on the basis of the first innings and still has 6 wickets left in hand.
