Facility will be available twice a week
According to media reports, SpiceJet will start flights between the capital Delhi and Shillong, the capital of the northeastern state of Meghalaya, from the month of February. Also, flight facility will be available twice a week. Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) officials say that an agreement has been signed with SpiceJet and the Meghalaya government regarding the operation of these flights. After which SpiceJet is going to operate flights between Delhi and Shillong twice a week (Monday and Friday).

SpiceJet itself had established contact with the Meghalaya government for this agreement. This agreement is made as per MTC’s Terms of Service. SpiceJet flights are expected to start operating on the Delhi-Shillong route from February 2023. It is known that there are a total of 23 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft in SpiceJet’s fleet.
The flight returned after 10 minutes as soon as it took off
Earlier, a case related to SpiceJet came to light on January 11, in which the flight from Pune to Ahmedabad was to take off at 8 pm on Wednesday night. On this matter, the company said that the flight was delayed due to technical reasons. The SpiceJet spokesperson had also given clarification regarding this incident. SpiceJet said that due to a technical fault, the flight returned to the airport and its landing was normal. Information was given to the passengers at 4.30 pm itself, so that they could decide their time to come to the airport.
