Asia Cup hosting issue: PCB and BCCI are firm on their stubbornness regarding the hosting of Asia Cup 2023. While PCB wants to organize the Asia Cup on its soil, BCCI has made it clear that if the Asia Cup is held in Pakistan, it will not send the Indian team there. On this issue, most of the former Pak cricketers are in favor of organizing the Asia Cup in Pakistan without India, although former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has a different opinion in this matter.

Shoaib Akhtar believes that India-Pakistan matches are the most interesting in world cricket. In such a situation, both the teams must be there in the Asia Cup, even if the tournament has to be shifted somewhere else.

Shoaib Akhtar said in a conversation with ANI, ‘I want the Asia Cup 2023 to be organized in Pakistan only, but if it cannot be held in Pakistan, then Sri Lanka should get its hosting. I want India and Pakistan teams to play Asia Cup final. I want to see these two teams clash in the World Cup final as well. There is nothing more interesting in world cricket than an Indo-Pak final.

Decision will be taken this month
By the way, the hosting rights of Asia Cup 2023 goes to Pakistan only. This tournament has not been organized here for a long time. But after the stand of BCCI, it seems difficult to organize this tournament in Pakistan. A final decision will be taken on this in the Asian Cricket Council meeting to be held this month. Let us tell you that PCB Chief Najam Sethi has clearly said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup or this tournament is organized somewhere else, then the Pakistan team will also not participate in the World Cup to be held in India.
