Shikhar Dhawan’s reaction on India’s World Cup squad: Indian star batsman Shikhar Dhawan has not been made a part of the Indian squad for the ODI World Cup to be played this year. Now Dhawan has given a reaction on the 15-member team selected for the World Cup. Earlier, Dhawan was a part of Team India in the World Cup played in 2019. This time Shubman Gill was chosen as the opener.
Dhawan reacted to the squad by tweeting. He wrote, “Congratulations my teammates and friends on being selected to represent India in the World Cup! With the prayers and support of 150 crore people, you carry forward our hopes and dreams. Hope you bring the cup back home and make us proud!”
Dhawan did not play any match in 2023
Let us tell you that earlier in the World Cup played in 2019, Dhawan was a part of India, but this time he was not made a part of the team. Dhawan has been running away from the Indian team for some time now. This year Dhawan has not played any international match so far. He played his last match in December 2022 against Bangladesh. Since then, he was continuously kept away from the team.
Congratulations to my fellow teammates and friends who have been selected to represent India in the WC 2023 tournament! With the prayers and support of 1.5 billion people, you carry our hopes and dreams.
Can you bring the cup back home 🏆 and make us proud! Try your best, Team India! … https://t.co/WbVmD0Fsl5— Shikhar Dhawan (@SDhawan25) 6 September 2023
