Samsung's revenue likely to suffer a major blow
The strike at this Samsung Electronics plant has entered its fourth week. This is being considered as the biggest strike in the country in the last few years. In this plant the company manufactures products like refrigerators, TVs and washing machines. Due to this strike which started before the festive season, there is a possibility of a big blow to the company's revenue. Despite all efforts, no solution seems to be emerging. The employees are demanding that their salaries should be increased, working hours should be improved and their union CITU should be recognized by the company.
104 people were taken into custody on September 16
Police said on Tuesday that they had detained 912 Samsung employees. About 1000 employees are involved in this strike. About 1800 employees work in this Samsung plant. Earlier on September 16, the police had detained 104 people. Samsung has not said anything on this issue at present. However, he had said that we are paying people almost double the salary than other companies in this area. Also, we are ready to listen and solve all the problems of the employees.
Recruitment of contract employees and trainees is taking place
Earlier, information had come to light that the company had also approached the court to stop the strike. Along with this, notices were also issued warning the employees to fire them. Due to this strike, PM Narendra Modi's Make in India vision has also suffered a severe blow. At present, it is a matter of relief for Samsung that there is peace in their smartphone manufacturing plant located in Uttar Pradesh. Information has also emerged in media reports that the company has also recruited some contract employees and trainees to speed up production. Earlier, there was also a strike at Samsung's plant in South Korea.
