Ransomware Attack: The data of several fast food brands has come under the grip of a ransomware attack in the UK. These include KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit Burger Grill. The data revealed has shown that not only these restaurants but around 300 restaurants across the country have been affected. The attackers have taken possession of the data of all these (around 300) restaurants. When customers questioned the company, the company assured people that there was no evidence that their personal information had been exposed. Let’s know about it in detail.

Yum Brand is a fast food corporation company. It operates companies such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit Burger Grill. Yum has said in its statement that the recent ransomware attack has affected some Info Tech systems. Following the attack, the company closed nearly all 300 restaurants in the United Kingdom for a day. Although now all the restaurants have been made operational. The company further said that we are actively engaged in restoring the affected systems, which is expected to be largely completed in the coming days. The attack won’t have much effect. There is no evidence that the customer database was stolen.
