PM Kisan Samman Yojana 1.5 Crore Beneficiaries Will Be Connected To KCC Scheme Under KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan Kisan Rin Portal

Ghar-Ghar KCC Abhiyaan: Kisan Loan Portal has been launched to provide loans to farmers at cheap rates. Along with this, door-to-door KCC campaign has also been started. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar have launched the Farmer Loan Portal and door-to-door KCC campaign.

On the launch of this scheme, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman assured that the Ghar Ghar KCC campaign will get full support from the banks. He said that under KCC, adequate funds have been provided to provide short term loans to farmers. The Finance Minister said that in lieu of the premium amount of Rs 29,000 crore, under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, an insurance amount of Rs 1.40 lakh crore has been issued to the farmers in lieu of the loss of their crops.

WINDS manual has been launched in the program through which farmers will get direct weather information so that they can take appropriate decisions at the right time to protect their crops. Narendra Singh Tomar said that technology and transparency are very important for agriculture and the government has taken many steps in this direction. He said that there are 9 crore beneficiaries under PM Kisan, out of which 1.5 crore are not connected with the KCC scheme, they will be connected under the door-to-door KCC campaign.

The Kisan Loan Portal has been launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services, Animal Husbandry – Dairy Department, Department of Fisheries, RBI and NABARD. It is going to be of great help in getting loan under Kisan Credit Card through Kisan Loan Portal. Through this, farmers will be able to get loans at concessional rates through the Modified Interest Subvention Scheme (MISS).

Door to Door KCC Campaign has also been started. This campaign will start from October 1, 2023 and will run till December 31, 2023. Through this scheme, every farmer will be assured loan for agriculture. The Agriculture Ministry has verified the data of existing KCC account holders with PM Kisan beneficiaries who do not have a KCC account. Through this, the beneficiaries of PM Kisan who do not have KCC account will be linked with this scheme.
