No official statement of any kind has been issued by the PCB in this matter, but reports have said that the PCB chairman has sent a mail to ACC chief Jay Shah to compensate for the loss caused by the matches held in Sri Lanka. demanded. At the same time, he has also shown a lot of disappointment regarding the behavior of ACC regarding the schedule of matches in Sri Lanka.
In view of the heavy rains in Colombo, there was talk of shifting the matches to Hambantota. Without taking names, the PCB chief asked who was responsible for suddenly changing the venue of matches without informing any ACC board members. When it was decided in the meeting of the host countries and ACC members on 5 September that the matches should be held in Hambantota and after that Sri Lanka’s chief pitch curator left for there. At the same time, ACC refused to change the venue of the matches without any discussion and decided to have them in Kandy and Colombo only.
Rain again casts shadow on India-Pakistan match in Colombo
On September 10, the Super-4 clash between India and Pakistan will be seen at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. There is a threat of rain on this match as well. While the Indian team has reached Colombo from Kandy, the Pakistan team will leave for Colombo from Lahore today after defeating Bangladesh in the Super-4.
