PCB chief Najam Sethi claims PSL’s digital media ratings are higher than IPL

Najam Sethi on digital ratings of IPL and PSL: The eighth season of Pakistan Super League is over. The final match of the tournament was played on last Saturday i.e. March 18. In the match played between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars won the title by winning by 1 run. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Najam Sethi spoke a lot about the media rating of PSL. He said that the media rating of PSL is more than IPL. He said that IPL has a digital rating of 130 million and PSL has more than 150 million.

Talking about this in the press conference, Najam Sethi said, “Believe me, only half of the PSL had happened. I asked what about our digital rating? He said that when Najam Sethi show used to happen on Jio TV, it used to get point 5 or point 6 rating. It is getting more than 11 ratings. Think for yourself that where the TV ratings have reached. When it is completed, I think it will reach 18-20.

Digital rating of PSL told more than IPL

He further added, “Apart from this the digital rating which was the feedback we got about it, which we monitor, it was more than 150 million. This is not a small thing. At this stage the digital rating of IPL was close to 130 million and ours is more than 150 million. This is a big success for Pakistan.”

Lahore Qalandars won the second consecutive title

Significantly, in the eighth season of PSLA played in 2023, Lahore Qalandars won the title for the second time in a row by defeating Multan Sultans in the final. Earlier in 2022 also, Lahore Qalandars won the PSL title by defeating Multan Sultans in the final.
