Russia had sent help in the disaster

According to the news going on in the media of Pakistan, in view of the current crisis, Pakistan had received thousands of tons of quintals of wheat as help from Russia. This wheat was to be delivered to the common people. It had been sent to 10 districts to take it among the people. Although this thousands of tonnes of torn wheat could not reach the public. It was stolen by some officers.

So many thousand tons of wheat was stolen

According to reports, Russia had supplied about 50 thousand tonnes of wheat to Pakistan in the beginning of this month as a help. Out of these, about 40,392 tonnes of wheat has been stolen, whose market value is said to be in billions of Pakistani rupees. This theft of wheat took place from government warehouses located in 10 districts of Sindh province. It is being told that this theft was carried out with the connivance of the officers and employees of the Food Department of Sindh. Action has now been taken in this matter and at least 67 senior officers have been suspended. They have also received show cause notices.

These officers were suspended

According to the Pakistani newspaper The News, the officials who have been suspended for alleged wheat theft include 49 food supervisors and 18 food inspectors. This incident of theft was carried out in Dadu, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kambar-Shahadkot, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Sanghar and Mirpurkhas districts.

Now Russia will send more wheat

There is a lot of upheaval going on in Pakistan right now. On the one hand, the atmosphere is bad due to political instability. Violent clashes have taken place at many places between the people and the administration regarding the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. On the other hand, troubled by the shortage of food and drink, the common people are also protesting. In such a situation, Pakistan had just received the help of 50 thousand tonnes of wheat from Russia. Russia is going to send more wheat to Pakistan by 31 March. Pakistan is expected to get about 0.4 million tonnes of wheat from 9 ships this month.
