Zaheer Abbas's comparison of Babar Azam to Virat Kohli: The three-match Test series between Pakistan and England is to be played from October 7. The first test match is to be played at Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan, for which the Pakistan Cricket Board had announced the Pakistan team on 24 September. The name of Pakistan's star player Babar Azam is also included in this. Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Zaheer Abbas has put forward his views and has also raised questions on the form of Babar Azam.
Abbas demanded removal of Babar from the team
This statement has come at a time when Babar Azam has failed to make an impact with his bat for the last one year. Sharing his views on this issue, Zaheer Abbas said that it is not appropriate to keep Babar in the team considering his continuous poor form. He demanded the exclusion of Babar from the team during the 'Cricket Prediction Conclave' organized in UAE. Abbas said, “If he is our main batsman and is not scoring runs, then he should be dropped from the team.”
Abbas declared the comparison between Virat and Babar meaningless
Apart from this, Zaheer Abbas termed the comparison between Indian batsman Virat Kohli and Babar Azam as meaningless. He said that Virat scores runs in every match, whereas Babar is not able to do so. Abbas said, “This comparison is useless. Virat Kohli scores runs in every match, whereas Babar does not score runs in any match, so how can they be compared? The player who scores runs is a big player.” .”
After Zaheer Abbas's statement, discussions have intensified in the cricket world about Babar Azam's form and his comparison with Virat Kohli. Questions are also being raised on the performance of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team, which is currently not living up to expectations.
