Nawaz Modi Demands 75 Per Cent Of Total Worth From Gautam Singhania As Per Family Settlement

Gautam Singhania, one of the country’s richest billionaires and head of Raymond’s Group, is in the news these days. He had recently announced divorce from his wife Nawaz Modi Singhania. Now the information about the demand made by Nawaz Modi regarding the settlement of divorce case is coming to light. If the information coming out is considered correct then this is going to prove to be the most expensive divorce in India till date.

Gautam agrees with Nawaz’s demand

According to an ET report, Nawaz Modi Singhania has demanded 75 percent of his total net worth from Gautam Singhania as part of the family settlement. In the report, quoting sources related to the case, it has been told that Nawaz Modi has made this demand for himself and his two daughters Niharika and Nisa. It is being said that Gautam Singhania has also agreed to this demand to a great extent.

The stake is beyond Rs 8000 crore

Gautam Singhania is a representative of India’s oldest family of industrialists. Presently he is the MD and Chairman of Raymonds Group. He has the second most expensive and luxurious house in Mumbai after Mukesh Ambani. Gautam Singhania is known for his luxury lifestyle. His net worth is said to be 1.4 billion dollars (about Rs 11 thousand crores). According to this, Nawaz Modi’s demand amounts to Rs 8,250 crore. That means this divorce case is going to be more expensive than Rs 8 thousand crores.

Was settled for Rs 400 crore

If Nawaz Modi’s demand is accepted and settlement is made accordingly, then it will become the most expensive divorce in India. Many high-profile divorce cases have been seen in the country before. Most of the expensive divorce cases are related to Bollywood. The divorce case of Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan is said to be the most expensive in India. In that case, Hrithik Roshan had to pay around Rs 400 crore as alimony. In comparison, the Singhania divorce case is going to be many times more expensive.

Bill Gates and Melinda Gates were divorced for 73 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 8 lakh crore. Many divorce cases worth billions of dollars have come to light across the world, but till now the Gates settlement has proved to be the most expensive.
