Starting as an Intern at TCS
N Chandrasekaran has been a part of the Tata Group for a long time. He is considered very special and trusted by Tata Sons' Honorary Chairman and veteran industrialist Ratan Tata. He is often called Ratan Tata's right hand in the corporate corridors. Before assuming the responsibility of the entire group, Chandrasekaran had taken charge of the country's largest IT company TCS. He was the CEO and MD of TCS from 2009 to 2017. He started his career with TCS as an intern and today holds the highest position in the group.
Worked in TCS for 3 decades
Chandrasekaran has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu. He has done MCA from NIT Tiruchirappalli. His first job as an intern started with TCS in 1987, where he worked for 3 decades. During his tenure of three decades at TCS, he traveled from zero to the top. After holding the biggest position of TCS for about 8 years, he is now leading the entire Tata Group.
Chandrasekaran's salary is so high
N Chandrasekaran's contribution to the country's business world is unforgettable. The Government of India has also recognized his contribution and honored him with the third highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan. He is counted among the highest paid executives of the country. A report by DNA India states that his annual salary package in 2021-22 was Rs 109 crore.
