Ministry of Education: Several announcements have been made by the Ministry of Education yesterday. In which it has been said that the board exams will now be held twice a year. In any of the two exams, the students having more marks will be considered as the final marks. According to the ministry, under the New Education Policy-2020, a new framework has been prepared for board examinations. On the basis of which books for the next academic session will also be prepared.
Students of class 9th and 10th will have to read three language subjects, out of which two will be focused on Indian languages. Apart from this, students of class 11th and 12th will have to study two languages. One of these will be Indian language. The good thing is that relaxation has been given to the students regarding the choice of subjects. Now there will be no restriction on the basis of stream.
According to the Ministry of Education, books are also being changed for the 2024 session. Now heavy syllabus will not be kept in the books. Along with this, the cost of books will also be kept minimum, this will give relief to the parents. The new syllabus is being prepared under the new education policy.
Tell that some things have also come to the fore regarding the organization of board exams twice in a year. According to which, with this decision, students will be able to evaluate their preparation on their own. Also, they will not need to remember the same subject or facts related to it throughout the year. After this process is implemented, students will not need to take coaching for months. It is expected that this will strengthen the understanding and practical skills of the students towards the subjects.
Content load will be less
NCF suggests that in the long term all boards should adopt semester or term best system, where students can be tested after completing subjects. This will reduce the content load on students in an exam.
