Meta Partners With Education And Skill Development Ministries To Develop Skills In Indians

Meta: Social media giant Meta on Monday said it has entered into a three-year partnership with the Ministry of Education as well as the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to empower students, teachers and entrepreneurs across the country. Through this partnership, the company will develop skills among the countrymen. In addition, the company has also signed a letter of intent (LOI) with National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) for free digital marketing courses to promote entrepreneurship and skill development.

META has also signed two other LOIs with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide a bright future to the children. Let us tell you, under this partnership, the company will train 10 lakh entrepreneurs in digital marketing skills in the next 3 years. In addition, the company will also train budding and existing entrepreneurs in digital marketing skills using meta platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram in 7 regional languages.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the focus of the government is to equip the youth and workforce with skills in these fast changing times so that they can make a significant contribution to technology and the global economy. He said that digital skills significantly represent a bridge between millions of small rural, micro and self-employed entrepreneurs enabling them to expand, grow and succeed.

Let me tell you, Meta’s partnership with CBSE is also going on from December 2021, under which 1 crore students and 10 lakh teachers are being trained in AR, VR, AI and Digital Citizenship.
