LPG Cylinder Costly: The month of October is full of festivals and on the first day of this month the prices of gas have increased. This increase in gas prices is Rs 48.50 per cylinder and it has been extended for 19 kg gas cylinder. The new rates of LPG cylinders have become effective across the country today from 1 October 2024. You will know here how much gas prices have increased in major cities of the country.
- In the country's capital Delhi, the rate of 19 kg LPG cylinder has now become Rs 1740 and it has been increased by Rs 48.50. Last month in September its price was at Rs 1691.50.
- The price of 19 kg LPG cylinder in Kolkata has now become Rs 1850.50 and it has been increased by Rs 48. Last month in September its rates were at Rs 1802.50.
- The price of LPG cylinder in Mumbai has now become Rs 1692 and it has been increased by Rs 48. Last month in September its rates were at Rs 1644.
- The rate of 19 kg LPG cylinder in Chennai has now become Rs 1903 and it has been increased by Rs 48. Last month in September its rates were at Rs 1855.
However, there has been no increase in the rate of common LPG cylinder which weighs 14.2 kg and this can be a matter of relief for you. However, due to increase in the price of commercial gas cylinders, the rates of outside food or food in restaurants, hotels, dhabas may increase because commercial LPG gas is used exclusively at these places.
LPG cylinder rates have been increasing continuously for three months
This time it has been three months since October when the rates of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased by government oil and gas marketing companies. Earlier, gas rates were increased in September and August also. There was a slight increase of Rs 39 in September and Rs 8-9 in August.
The price of 19 kg LPG gas had decreased from April to July.
Even in September, the price of LPG cylinder had increased and it had become costlier by Rs 39. This increase was also for 19 kg gas cylinder and before this i.e. during April to July, the oil and gas distribution companies had increased the price of LPG gas. This means that after the start of the new financial year, LPG prices decreased for the first 4 months and after that, gas prices have been increasing continuously for three months.
