At least they’ll “Die With a Smile.”
Lady Gaga wants a no-frills wedding with her fiancé, Michael Polansky — followed by some takeout.
“We actually talk about going to the courthouse just the two of us and ordering Chinese food,” Gaga, 38, shared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday.
However, the “Poker Face” singer admitted she could also see herself having an extravagant wedding celebration.
“Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns,” she joked.
While they have similar ideas for how they want to tie the knot, Gaga had a different idea from Polansky, 41, on how he would pop the question.
“He proposed to me right after my birthday,” she said. “So my birthday passed, and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was going to purpose, but then maybe…’”
The Grammy-winning artist said the tech investor threw her a “beautiful” birthday dinner and then they went rock climbing — an activity they previously enjoyed together.
She called their excursion “super fun,” to which Jimmy Kimmel asked, “For real? You climb rocks?”
“I mean, I do now,” Gaga said with a laugh before turning to the audience to say, “I’d do anything for love.”
The “Joker: Folie à Deux” actress shared that she and Polansky got to the top of the mountain, took photos and then climbed back down, which was when he decided to ask for her hand in marriage.
“We were just walking back to the room and talking and he said … it was very Michael to ask me if he could ask me,” she said. “He wanted to know if it was OK to propose before he proposed, and I was like, ‘Yes! It’s so OK!’”
Gaga said that it was “smart” of her beau not to propose at the height of their rock climbing adventure because it is “safe at the bottom.”
“He had the ring in his backpack, so it was so super cute,” she recalled. “He, like, got in his backpack and pulled it out.”
The “A Star Is Born” actress divulged that Polansky did not get down on one knee, which she liked because she is a “modern lady.”
“I like what he did,” she said with approval.
Polansky proposed to Gaga in April — the same month she was spotted rocking a massive diamond ring on her left hand.
Three months later, she confirmed the speculation when she referred to Polansky as her “fiancé” while attending the Paris Olympics.
Gaga revealed in her September Vogue cover story that her mom, Cynthia Germanotta, was the one who set up the couple.
They ended up hitting it off at a 2019 party and talked on the phone for a few weeks before going on their first date.
From there, they quarantined together in Malibu, Calif., during the COVID-19 pandemic — allowing the pop star to really focus on love.
“It was really kind of special,” she told the magazine. “I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship. I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me — outside of Lady Gaga.”
Polansky expressed his gratitude for that time together, adding, “We had this amazing chapter of a weird kind of normalcy that’s essential for any relationship to develop in a real way — taking walks, making coffee, hanging out with the dogs, reading books together.”
