Ishan Kishan hungry for international matches: Indian cricket team’s star wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan is out of Team India these days. Ishan Kishan, who was a part of Team India in the ODI World Cup 2023, found it very costly to take a break after the tournament and not obeying the BCCI. He has been out of Team India for a long time. Now Ishaan expressed his hunger to play international matches.
Talking to ‘Times of India’, Ishaan said that he is hungry to play international matches. These days Ishaan is playing in Ranji Trophy 2024-25 and recently he scored a brilliant century in the match played against Railways. Earlier, Ishaan had scored a century in the Duleep Trophy.
Let us tell you that Ishaan played the last match for Team India against Australia in November 2023. After this, Ishaan was selected for the South Africa tour, but he decided to take a break citing mental fatigue. But after this break, Ishaan has not been able to make a comeback till now.
Now Ishaan said about his comeback, “I am very hungry right now and I know that whenever I get a chance, I will thrash the bowlers. I am hungry to get an international match.”

Ishaan is a wicketkeeper batsman who plays all three formats for India. So far he has played 2 Tests, 27 ODIs and 32 T20 International matches. He has scored 78 runs in 3 innings of the test. Apart from this, Ishaan has scored 933 runs in 27 innings of ODI at an average of 42.40. During this period he has scored 1 double century and 7 half-centuries. In the remaining 32 innings of T20 International, he has scored 796 runs at an average of 25.67 and strike rate of 124.37.
