Indore Stadium Pitch Rating: ICC had to change its decision after BCCI's appeal, saying Indore pitch was not of poor category

India was badly defeated by Australia in Indore’s Holkar Stadium in just two and a half days. After that match referee Chris Broad had given a bad review of the Indore pitch to the ICC, after which the ICC had put Indore’s Holkar Stadium in the bad pitch category. The ICC had also given 3 demerit points to the Indore pitch. On March 14, the BCCI demanded the ICC to review its decision once again. Now the ICC has changed its decision after reviewing. Let us tell you that after the Indore match was over, the match referee of that match, Chris Broad, made a pitch report after talking to the captains of both the teams, in which he said that the pitch was very dry, due to which the bat and the ball Couldn’t strike a balance. Based on this pitch report of Chris Broad, ICC had put Indore pitch in poor category. After that the BCCI appealed to the ICC that Chris Broad has made a haste in making the Indore pitch report, that is why the ICC should consider its decision once again.

Now the decision has come from the ICC that the Indore pitch has been moved from poor category to below average category. Due to being in poor category, the ICC had given three demerit points to the Indore pitch, which has now been reduced to one demerit point. Let us tell you that if the ICC gives five demerit points to a pitch, then that pitch cannot host any international matches for the next 1 year. The BCCI has now saved the Indore pitch from any such danger.
