Indian team took 23 years old revenge by all out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in Asia Cup 2023 final.

India vs Sri Lanka, Asia Cup 2023 Final: In the final match of Asia Cup 2023, the Indian team fulfilled its 23-year old revenge by bowling out Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs. Team India achieved the target in 6.1 overs and won the match by 10 wickets. In this match, Mohammad Siraj took 6 wickets with the help of his lethal bowling and played an important role in India winning the Asia Cup title for the eighth time.

With this victory, Team India also equalized the humiliating defeat suffered by Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy final match in 2000. In this match played on the ground of Sharjah, the Sri Lankan team, batting first, had given a target of 300 runs to India. In reply, Team India was reduced to just 54 runs. Since then, this was the lowest score made by any team in the final match of any tournament in ODI history.

Now India has succeeded in removing this record from its name by bowling out Sri Lanka for 50 runs in the final of Asia Cup 2023. Five players of the Sri Lankan team could not even open their account in this title match.

The Sri Lankan team had won the toss and decided to bat first in the final match of Asia Cup 2023. After this, a brilliant bowling spell from Mohammad Siraj was seen from the Indian side. In this match, Siraj made 4 Sri Lankan batsmen his victims in his second over itself. Half of the Sri Lankan team had returned to the pavilion with a score of only 12 runs. Mohammad Siraj took 6 wickets while giving 21 runs in his spell of 7 overs. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya also took 3 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah also took 1 wicket.
