Stock Market Opening On 2nd March 2023: The Indian stock market opened with a decline on Thursday, following Wednesday’s spectacular rally. Due to global signals, this decline has occurred in the market. The BSE Sensex closed down by 124 points at 59,287 points and the National Stock Exchange closed down by 29 points at 17,421 points.
Sectoral Update
In today’s trade, there is a rise in the shares of Banking, Energy, Infra, Commodity sector, while there is a decline in the shares of IT, Auto, Pharma, FMCG, Metals sector. Small cap is trading with a slight rise while the midcap index is trading with a decline. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 8 stocks are trading with an increase and 22 with a decline. So out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 15 stocks are trading fast with 35 declining.
Mixed trend in international market
There is a mixed trend in the global markets. In the Asian markets, some are trading with a boom and some with a decline. Nikkei is trading down by 0.13 per cent, Straight Times by 0.59 per cent, Hangseng by 0.75 per cent, Taiwan by 0.08 per cent. While Kospi, Jakarta’s markets are trading with a slight increase. Earlier on Wednesday, the US stock market was closed after trading flat.
