Indian Business To Spend More In 2023 Than 2022 On Business Domestic And International Travel

Travel Demand In India: After the Corona epidemic, there has been a tremendous increase in domestic and international business travel. If the economy is picking up again, most Indian companies believe that business travel is going to pick up tremendously in 2023 as compared to 2022. These things have come to the fore in a survey.

According to the American Express survey report, 77 percent of Indian businesses believe that the travel budget is going to increase in 2023 as compared to 2022. At the same time, 67 percent of Indian businesses believe that business travel is expected to increase in 2023. These things have been said in the report related to Business Travel and Entertainment Survey titled Revival of Business Travel.

The report states that 79 percent of Indian businesses use business travel data analytics for travel booking and expense budgeting. This makes it clear how technology can be used for the travel sector. A survey conducted on 43 percent of financial decision makers after the Corona epidemic has revealed that managing travel expenses through better software is a big innovation.

Manish Kapoor, Vice President, Global Commercial Services, American Express Banking Corp India, said that the sentiment regarding corporate travel in India is very encouraging. In the last two years, there was a decline in business travel. After the commencement of domestic travel, travel has crossed the pre-corona period. According to the report, there has been a spurt in international travel.

The report has been prepared on the basis of a survey conducted on more than 500 companies. The focus has been on large businesses in the survey, in which more than half of the businesses participating in the survey have a revenue of more than Rs 600 crore. 82 percent of the companies included in the survey have 250 employees.
