India braces for hottest February day since 1901, informs India Meteorological Department

Heat Wave in India: The year 2023 has started with a bitter cold. Due to the severe cold in the month of January, the record of many years was broken. This year it seemed that the cold weather would last longer. But it didn’t happen. By the end of January, the temperature had started rising in North India. Then in February, Lu broke all records. It was extremely hot in the month of February. The February temperature has broken a 122-year-old record. The average temperature in the month of February is 29.5 degrees. This is the first time since 1901 that the temperature has been so high.

This year the heat is likely to be even hotter. This can also lead to limb loss in Maharashtra. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature in the state will be above average. There is a possibility of heat wave at many places in Maharashtra from March to May. North Konkan will also experience heat wave between March and May, with temperatures likely to cross 40 degrees Celsius. Heat wave conditions are expected at a few places over North Maharashtra, West Vidarbha and Marathwada during the month of March. But the Meteorological Department has said that the intensity will be less.

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the average temperature has increased to 29.5 degrees in the month of February. Which is the best since 1901. Talking about Delhi alone, the highest temperature ever recorded in the month of February. Seasons are changing, we are entering from cold to heat, for some time these hot flashes will subside and heat will rise again in March April but the current heat is injurious to health. Above average temperatures are likely to rise over some parts of the country. That’s why the Union Health Ministry has issued an advisory. Here are guidelines on do’s and don’ts for potential heat stroke. Along with this, information was also given regarding heat-related diseases.

Do not cook high protein foods and after extreme heat… especially do not go out in the sun between 12 noon to 3 pm… drink water even if you are not thirsty… it is said in the guidelines. In the month of February, this temperature is increased for a short period of time.

Use Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS)..Also take home made lemon-water,buttermilk,lassi,juice as much as possible..don’t step out of the house in the afternoon..fruits like watermelon, kalingad, orange Have a drink Also wear cotton clothes.. don’t wear dark colored clothes.. cover your head while going out in the sun…
