IND vs NZ 2nd ODI: Sunil Gavaskar warns Indian team before World Cup 2023, tells where improvement is needed

<पी शैली ="टेक्स्ट-एलाइन: जस्टिफ़ाई करें;">IND vs NZ 2nd ODI: These days the Indian team is playing a three ODI series against New Zealand. In the first match of the series, the team won by 12 runs. In this match, the Indian team, while batting first, put 349 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. In response, the New Zealand team was reduced to 337 runs in 49.2 overs. The opposing team had lost 6 wickets for 131 runs.

After this, Kiwi batsmen Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner played brilliant innings and brought the team closer to victory. Bracewell scored an inning of 140 runs in 78 balls with the help of 12 fours and 10 sixes. Apart from this, Mitchell Santner scored 57 runs. Seeing this New Zealand batting, former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar appeared angry with the Indian bowling.

Gavaskar told the lack of team

Talking about this, Sunil Gavaskar said, “I believe that defending the target has always been a problem for the Indian team. The team is very good in terms of run chase, but when it comes to saving runs, the team is not able to do well in this matter. Looking at India’s batting, I think they can easily chase 350 runs.

Indian team is weak in defending runs

He further said, “We have seen that the Indian team is far behind in defending runs. It has also been seen in T20 International that the team is reaching 190-200 runs, but is failing to defend it. It is clearly visible from this that the team needs a lot of improvement in its bowling.
