Glenn Maxwell on India’s tour of Australia: All-rounder Glenn Maxwell has made a big statement before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be played between India and Australia next month. Actually, Glenn Maxwell will not be able to take part in the four-match Test series to be played between India and Australia. He has expressed regret for this.
Veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell said that not playing in the upcoming tour of India due to injury will haunt me for the rest of my life. Maxwell suffered a serious injury to his left leg in November last year during a friend’s birthday party. This incident sidelined him from the game for three months.
Glenn Maxwell commentating on ‘Fox Cricket’ during a ‘Big Bash League’ match, said, “It will probably cost me the rest of my life. It’s good to have the opportunity to watch my teammates play, especially (in India)”. I think they (Australia) have found the best team to tour India.”
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will begin on February 09 with the first Test in Nagpur. After this, Australia has to play in New Delhi (17 to 21 February), Dharamsala (1 to 5 March) and Ahmedabad (9 to 13 March).
