IND vs AFG T20I Series: The first T20 International series between India and Afghanistan will be played in January. Afghanistan Cricket Board has made it clear that a three-match T20 series will be played between the two countries. The teams of India and Afghanistan have come face to face many times in ICC and other events, but no white ball i.e. limited overs series has ever been played between the two.
This will be the first time when both the teams will face each other in the white ball series. Earlier, India and Afghanistan had clashed in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Now both the teams will face each other in the series of 3 T20 International matches. Afghanistan team will tour India for this series. The first match of the series between the two will be played on 11 January in Mohali, the second on 14 January in Indore and the third and last match on 17 January in Bengaluru. Till the time of writing this news, both the teams have not announced the squad for the series.

- First T20I match – 11 January, Mohali
- Second T20I match – 14 January, Indore
- Third T20I match- 17 January, Bengaluru.
Afghanistan showed great performance in the World Cup, lost against India
Let us tell you that Afghanistan had won 4 out of 9 league matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup, after which the team finished the tournament at sixth position in points. However, Afghanistan, which had won four matches, had to face defeat by 8 wickets in the match against India. Whereas in the tournament, the Afghan team defeated England by 69 runs, Pakistan by 8 wickets, Sri Lanka by 7 wickets and Netherlands by 7 wickets. Afghanistan looked in very good form in the tournament.
After defeating Netherlands in the tournament, Afghanistan had reached the stage from where it was decided that they would go to the semi-finals. But the team ended this hope by losing its last two matches.
