Symptoms of Dengue
Doctors say the risk increases especially during the rainy season as the virus spreads rapidly. It is a matter of grave concern that dengue has been declared an epidemic in Karnataka given the potential severity of the disease. The virus called dengue is spread by mosquitoes and can cause flu-like symptoms. It can cause problems like high fever, painful headache, rash and joint and muscle pain.
Serious effects of dengue
Giving information about its serious consequences, doctors said that if not treated timely, it can turn into dengue hemorrhagic fever, which can lead to bleeding, plasma leakage, organ failure and even death.
How to prevent dengue
Doctors say that the key to fighting dengue is prevention. In such a situation, it is important to keep the following things in mind to avoid it:
Eliminate mosquito breeding sites to prevent breeding.
Do not allow water to accumulate anywhere around the house.
Wear protective clothing to avoid mosquito bites.
Use mosquito repellent to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
