Haunted Railway Station: Some unheard stories related to Indian Railway stations are often heard. There are some facts which surprise you. Today we are going to tell about one such fact. Actually, a railway station in India remained closed for 42 years. The story behind its closure is related to only one girl.

Trains used to pass through here, but not a single train stopped for 42 years. This railway station is located in Purulia district of West Bengal, whose name is Begunkodor Railway Station. This railway station was opened in 1960. Santhal queen Shrimati Lachan Kumari had contributed in opening this station.

When the employee saw the ghost for the first time

Everything remained fine for a few years after the opening of this railway station, but then strange incidents started happening. In 1967, an employee claimed to have seen a female ghost here. He also told other railway employees, but his words were ignored.

Death of station master and his family

Just a few days after this incident, a big incident forced everyone to believe what the employee said. A few days later, the station master of Begunakodor and his family were found dead in the railway quarter. People claimed that the ghost of a woman was behind this incident. After this, many stories of this ghost came forward from the people.

The ghost ran faster than the train!

The people there claim that whenever a train passed through this railway station after sunset, the ghost of the woman started running along with that train. Not only this, sometimes he used to run faster than the train. Many times he was even seen dancing on the train tracks.

The matter reached the Railway Ministry

After such incidents, this railway station came to be called haunted. The fear of this station spread so much among the people that people started stopping coming here. This was also recorded in the record. Not only this, its story had reached from Kolkata Railway Station to the Railway Ministry.

No one posted here

Even railway employees did not come here to work. People who were sent to this railway station used to refuse to come. Even trains had stopped stopping here because no passenger boarded or alighted from here.

Loco pilot also used to increase the speed of the train

It is said that as soon as the loco pilot realized the approach of this station, he would increase the speed of the train, so that the train could cross the station quickly. People used to get scared when this station arrived and out of fear they used to close all the windows and doors.

Currently 10 trains stop here

This trend continued for 42 years, but after that in 2009, at the request of the villagers, the then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee once again opened this railway station. Since then, there has been no claim of seeing any ghost here, but even today people do not stop at the station in the evening. Currently about 10 trains stop at this station. Sometimes tourists also come here to visit.
