Gold ETF Investment Increases By 7 Times In January 2024 Than December 2023 Says AMFI Data

GOLD ETF: Along with equity, investment in gold is also attracting investors. In view of the possibility of rise in gold prices, investors are attracted towards investing in gold. The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has released the data and said that a total investment of Rs 657 crore has come in Gold Exchange Traded Fund in January 2024, which is 7 times more than in December 2023.

Association of Mutual Funds in India has released data regarding investment in Gold Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). According to this data, investors have invested Rs 657 crore in gold ETFs in January 2024. According to the data, net investment in gold ETFs in January has increased from Rs 88.3 crore in December 2023 to Rs 657.4 crore. According to AMFI data, with this investment, the asset under management of the gold fund has increased by 1.6 percent to Rs 27,778 crore by the end of January. By December 2023, this amount was Rs 27,336 crore.

Experts believe that due to global tension and high inflation rate in America, investors are liking investing in gold because it is being seen as a safe investment. Melvin Santarita, analyst at Morningstar Investment Research India, said that the popularity of gold is expected to remain due to the current geopolitical tensions and high levels of US inflation.

In the coming days, the US Central Bank Federal Reserve may cut interest rates. If this happens then gold prices may rise further in the coming days. There are chances of getting good returns on investment in such gold ETFs. Under Gold ETF, the price of domestic physical gold is monitored. The investment made in this is based on the prices of gold. The amount raised under this fund is invested in the bullion market.
