The name of this new company of Adani Group is Airports Infrastructure Private Limited Company (Airports Infrastructure PLC). This company has been formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of the group's flagship company Adani Enterprises. Adani Enterprises itself has given information about the formation of a new company in Kenya to the stock markets in a regulatory filing.

Adani Enterprises has said that talks are going on to invest in the airport business in Kenya. The objective of the subsidiary company is to take over airports and operate and manage them. Adani Group is currently in talks to invest in Nairobi Airport located in the capital of Kenya.

Adani Group already has a strong presence in the airport business. However, Adani currently only has airports in India. Adani's company is currently managing 7 airports in India. According to the Adani Group website, it currently owns Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, Mangaluru International Airport, Jaipur International Airport, Guwahati's popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Apart from these, the group is building a new airport in Navi Mumbai.
This will be the first airport outside India
If the deal for investment in Nairobi airport is finalised, it will be the first airport of Adani Group outside India. Adani Group has formed a new company to expand the airport business in Kenya at a time when it is already facing protests at the local level. A group of local people in Kenya is opposing the investment of Adani Group.

Apart from airports, Adani Group also has a port business. Outside India, the company has invested in ports in many countries including Israel and Sri Lanka. The group is rapidly expanding its international business. Apart from the airport business company in Kenya, Adani Group has also formed a company in Shanghai, China. Its name is Adani Energy Resources (Shanghai) Company Limited and it is also a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.
