G20 Summit All Delegates Will Recieve 1000 Rupees In Wallets Via UPI As Govt Plans To Showcase Digital Achievements

There is going to be a gathering of 20 biggest economic forces of the world in India. India is hosting the G20 for the first time and top world leaders are going to participate in the G20 summit in New Delhi this week. India is trying to capitalize on this opportunity in many ways. One of them is to inform all the participants coming to the summit about the digital capabilities of the country.

Money will be sent to everyone through UPI

The Central Government plans to let the G20 delegates know about achievements like India’s Aadhaar, DigiLocker and Unified Payments Interface i.e. UPI. According to a report in ET, the government plans to send money through UPI to all the delegates during the conference. There is a plan to give one thousand rupees to all the delegates.

So many delegates can participate

Quoting senior government officials in the report, it has been told that more than 1000 delegates are likely to participate in the two-day G20 summit. The government is making wallets for all the potential delegates. During the conference, one thousand rupees each will be transferred from UPI to everyone’s wallet. They can use this money to buy goods from the stalls at the summit venue.

Such is the plan of the government

It is the effort of the government to let the leaders and senior officials of other countries know how easy digital payments have become in India. With this, they will know how India is now making digital payments and how digital payment interface can prove to be helpful in improving the lives of people.

These techniques will also be presented

Other digital capabilities of India will also be showcased during the G20 summit. During this, apart from UPI, the delegates will also be introduced to the services of Aadhaar and DigiLocker. Apart from this, there is a plan to present Bhashini, Open Network for Digital Commerce and E-Sanjeevani specially prepared for T20 summit. Bhashini is a real time language translation tool, which will help the delegates to listen to all the programs in their own language.
