Dinesh Karthik gave new ‘mantra’ to Team India for Suryakumar Yadav, said- then Surya will show his real magic

Suryakumar Yadav: Suryakumar Yadav’s dismissal on the first ball in two consecutive matches has become a matter of concern for the Indian cricket team. A total of 2 matches have been played in the India-Australia ODI series so far, and in both the matches, Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed by Mitchell Starc on the first ball of a kind and sent to the pavilion.

The average of his ODI career has come down to around 25 after the batsman was dismissed for a golden duck twice in a row in T20s. In such a situation, India’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik says that Team India can get more benefit by making Surya bat in the lower order.

Karthik gave an advice for Surya

Actually, in the Indian ODI cricket team, Shreyas Iyer was considered the first choice to bat at number-4, but at present, due to his injury, Suryakumar Yadav is being given a chance, so that India can get some success till the 2023 ODI World Cup. Find good options, but Surya has flopped in both the opening matches against Australia. In such a situation, Dinesh Karthik believes that “Due to Australia’s superb bowling, Surya was dismissed on a golden duck in both the matches. Karthik said that he (Surya) can be dismissed in T20 cricket on those two balls as well, So it’s not like it’s ODIs that’s why he’s getting out. In fact, it’s high quality bowling.”

Karthik said, “Surya has now played two ODIs, but before that he never played consecutive ODIs. Shreyas Iyer was the first option for number-4 and Surya was also the back-up option. One should stay with Surya and remember his talent. Further, Karthik said that, “I think Surya can perform his best at some other place. According to the wicket-keeper batsman, Hardik enjoys batting above , So can send him at number 4, then KL Rahul at number 5 and then Surya at number-6 to take advantage of his best performance.
