How To Deal With Exam Pressure: Khushbu, a Class 10 student from Dausa, Rajasthan, committed suicide by hanging herself a few days back. The girl student could not bear the pressure of board exam and before committing suicide she said this in a note. This matter is of last March 2. Class X student Khushbu Meena hanged herself at 11 am in New Colony of Lalsot town of Dausa district. Apologizing to her parents, she wrote in the suicide note that she could not score 95+% and she has been troubled since 10th. Can’t bear it anymore. Saying this, the girl embraced death.

There is still time for Rajasthan’s 10th board exams to begin. Even before giving the paper, this girl had assessed that her marks would not be good. In this regard, her family says that they never put pressure on Khushboo for marks and she was good in studies.

Parents keep these things in mind

• Do not create any kind of pressure on children directly or indirectly for good percentage or good division.
• Don’t compare your child with others and don’t let him reprimand you.
• If the child looks tense even without saying anything, speaks less, remains in himself or does something which he was not doing earlier, then be careful and talk to him about it.
• If even after doing everything, the child’s stress does not reduce, then consult an expert.
• In such a situation, counseling also helps the child. If the child does not listen to you, then whoever he likes, whether it is a teacher, another member of the family or a senior, ask them to talk to the child.
• If the child’s stress is not reducing, then tell them about such people who have achieved something big and good in life despite having low marks.
• Stay in touch with the kids and keep talking to them. Keep taking feedback from their friends and teachers as well. Children usually talk about their heart with friends only.
