At the same time, according to the ICC contract, there is a provision for tax exemption by the host country during the big event, but this could not happen during the 2016 T20 World Cup and at that time there was a dispute between the BCCI and the ICC. After this controversy, the BCCI had to face a reduction of about Rs 200 crore in the amount received from the Central Pool by the ICC. At the same time, according to the report of Cricinfo, from the year 2016 to 2023, BCCI has to get about 3400 crores from the Central Pool of ICC, out of which this tax will be deducted from this revenue.
BCCI hopes the dispute will be resolved soon
Regarding this tax dispute, BCCI has expressed hope that it will be resolved soon. On the other hand, according to the report of Cricinfo, the ODI World Cup 2023 can start from October 5, in which a total of 10 teams will participate this time. About 12 grounds have been shortlisted by the BCCI for organizing this mega event, in which the final match can be organized at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
