Nazmul Hussain Shanto Response: The second match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh was played in Kanpur. Team India won the match by 7 wickets. Nearly two and a half days of the match were wasted due to rain, but still Rohit Brigade won. After the defeat against India in Kanpur, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto blamed the batsmen. Shanto made the statement in such a way as if he was making an excuse.
Shanto said that Bangladesh lost both the tests due to poor batting. Giving the example of Ashwin and Jadeja, the Bangladeshi captain explained how both the batsmen had formed a brilliant partnership at the crucial time in the Chennai Test.
After the match, Nazmul Hussain Shanto said, “We did not bat well in both the Tests. In these conditions, we just need to bat well. If you look at our batsmen, we played 30-40 balls and got out.” The way Ashwin and Jadeja batted at that time, that partnership took away the match from us, it was good.
Yashasvi Jaiswal did wonders, became player of the match
