The country’s leading NBFC company Bajaj Finance has increased the interest rates on its Fixed Deposits. Bajaj Finance has increased FD rates by 35 basis points up to 0.35 per cent. According to Bajaj Finance, after this increase, now senior citizens will get the benefit of maximum 8.20 percent interest on FDs ranging from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 5 crore for a period of 44 months. In the same period, those aged 60 years will be able to get 7.95 per cent interest per annum. Bajaj Finance launched an FD scheme last year with a tenure of 33 months. Interest rates on this FD have now been increased from 7.70 per cent to 7.75 per cent per annum. In this, senior citizens will get an interest rate of 8.00 percent per annum.

In this regard, Sachin Sikka, Executive Vice-President (FD Investment), Bajaj Finance Limited, says that investors have been allowed to take maximum advantage of fixed deposits. Our new interest rates on 44-month Fixed Deposits have come down to 8.20 percent. This helps investors to get returns that beat inflation.

Interest rate was increased in January

Earlier, Bajaj Finance had implemented new rates in FD rates on 20 January. Then there was an increase of 0.40 per cent with 40 basis points. After which the interest rate on FD with maturity of 44 months has been given at 8.10% per annum.

At the same time, the option of investing in a small amount has been taken out for new investors. Keeping in mind the challenges faced by new investors in depositing lump sum amount in their initial earning period, Bajaj Finance has come up with the option of Systematic Deposit Plan (SDP).
