Akshar Patel's half century, may get a chance to play in India vs Bangladesh Test series in Duleep Trophy

Axar Patel Duleep Trophy 2024: A Test series is to be played between India and Bangladesh. It will start from 19 September. India's team has not been announced for this series yet. But Team India can be announced after the first match of Duleep Trophy 2024. Akshar Patel's place in it is almost certain. Akshar plays the role of an all-rounder. He is also in form. Akshar has scored a strong half-century in the match between India C and India D.

Actually, a match is being played between India C and India D in Anantapur. In this match, India D batted first and scored 164 runs before being all out. During this, Akshar Patel came to bat at number seven for the team. He faced 118 balls and scored 86 runs. Akshar hit 6 fours and 6 sixes during this innings. With his help, Team India D, captained by Shreyas Iyer, reached the score of 164 runs.

If media reports are to be believed, the selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India can announce the team after the first match of the Duleep Trophy. The selection committee is keeping an eye on the performance of the players. Akshar is in form and he can prove to be lethal against Bangladesh. Akshar has played 14 Test matches for India so far. He has scored 646 runs in it. Along with this, he has also taken 55 wickets.

Iyer-Pant failed in the first test –

Before the India-Bangladesh series, Shreyas Iyer has failed in the first test. He was dismissed after scoring just 9 runs against Team India C. Akshar faced 16 balls and hit 1 four. Rishabh Pant is a part of India B. He too could not do anything special. Pant was dismissed after scoring 7 runs in 10 balls. He hit just 1 four.
