Audi Q8 Facelift Unveiled: German automaker Audi has unveiled its updated Q8 at the Munich Motor Show. It is the first updated model since the Q8 in 2018. However, not much has changed. The new Q8 is completely different from the Q8 e-tron that was introduced last year. Let us know what other features are there in the car.

Audi Q8 Design

The headlights, bumper have been updated to the styling of the Audi Q8. The biggest change in this facelift is the new headlights, which now feature additional HD Matrix LED units. This headlight unit features digital daytime running lights and multiple light modes and is powered by 24 LEDs and a high power laser. It also has a new 2D logo. The rear profile of the car remains the same as before. But now there is a digital OLED rear light with four slotted light design.

Interior Design and Features

The interior of the new Q8 car is almost the same as before. The Q8 now gets an expanded App Store with apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. The driver assistance system has also been improved with these updates. The 360-degree camera in Audi’s Virtual Cockpit is now in Full HD. Everything else remains the same, ie the Q8 gets features like Audi’s twin MMI touchscreens, four-zone climate control, a head-up display, seat heating, ventilation Olufsen Hi-Fi system. It also has 4WD and optional air springs.

Audi Q8 Engine and Gearbox

It gets both petrol and diesel engine options, with the 3.0-litre 45 TDI V6 diesel engine generating 231hp/ 500Nm outputs. While the 3.0-litre 55 TFSI V6 petrol generates an output of 340hp and 500Nm. Both the engines are available with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic, quattro four-wheel drive and a mild-hybrid system.

The sportier SQ8 gets a 4.0-litre V8 engine, which generates 507hp and 770Nm output and is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic auto and quattro four-wheel drive. The SUV can be configured with a torque vectoring sport differential and an electromechanical active roll bar that is connected to a 48-volt super capacitor.

What is the price of Audi Q8 in India?

Audi may soon launch a new model in India. The current Q8’s ex-showroom price in India ranges between Rs 1.07 crore to Rs 1.43 crore. The price of the facelift model may be slightly higher. It competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLE and the BMW X6.
