Aakash Chopra said that if Lucknow Super Giants does not retain its captain KL Rahul then the teams will be ready to give Rs 18 crore easily in the auction. In this way, it will be difficult for Lucknow Super Giants to get KL Rahul again. He said that since KL Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants and there is no doubt that he is the face of the team. Therefore, Lucknow Super Giants should retain KL Rahul. If you do not give Rs 18 crore to KL Rahul then other teams will easily give Rs 18 crore. Besides, your captain will also get out of hand.
In the last auction, Lucknow Super Giants had included Nicholas Pooran for Rs 16 crore. Aakash Chopra said that Nicholas Pooran’s figures in T20 format are excellent. Lucknow Super Giants must retain Nicholas Pooran. Aakash Chopra believes that Lucknow Super Giants should retain Australia’s Marcus Stoinis as the third player after KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran. Also, fast bowler Mayank Yadav is an excellent option as the fourth player.
